Opportunities Ahead
Equatorial Marine Fuel is committed to advancing sustainable marine energy solutions, exploring cleaner alternatives to traditional fuel oil. By investing in innovative low carbon fuels from renewable sources such as biofuels, LNG, methanol, and ammonia, Equatorial is paving the way for a greener and more energy efficient maritime future.

LNG (ISO 23306) & Methanol:
Equatorial is developing LNG and methanol as promising, low-emission marine fuels. In addition, bio-LNG which is a renewable fuel derived from biogas created from organic wastes, has the potential to meet FuelEU requirements and IMO GFI draft framework till 2040. LNG investments are underway worldwide to make LNG more available to ships. Dedicated LNG bunkering infrastructures are improving rapidly and we expect to see more developments in LNG bunker vessels for refuelling seagoing ships.
Ammonia (HSFO/VLSFO/MGO):
Equatorial also advancing the use of Ammonia and B24 (PoS) biofuel, certified under ISCC-EU and compliant with ISO 8217, EN, and ASTM standards.
